Superior Contamination ControlUsing high-quality HEPA filtration (99.97% efficiency at 0.3 micron) and a washable synthetic pre-filter, this laminar air flow cabinet ensures a highly purified working environment. Its horizontal airflow system efficiently eliminates particulates, making it ideal for processes requiring strict contamination control, such as pharmaceutical production and microbiological research.
Thoughtful Ergonomic and Safety DesignWork comfortably on an 800 mm high perforated stainless steel bench, protected by transparent side panels and a removable front cover for easy access. The cabinet features UV light with interlock and safety switches, minimizing exposure risks. The low-noise, vibration-minimized blower motor assembly further enhances user comfort and safety.
Precision and DependabilityThis cabinet is engineered for consistent performance, with an airflow velocity of 0.35 0.45 m/s and an optional pressure differential gauge for real-time filter monitoring. The dynamically balanced motor-blower, durable stainless steel or powder-coated construction, and white/blue finish combine function and aesthetics suited to professional laboratory environments.
FAQs of Laminar Air Flow Cabinet, Horizontal:
Q: How does the laminar air flow cabinet ensure a contamination-free workspace?
A: By drawing room air through a synthetic pre-filter and then a HEPA filter (with 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 micron), the cabinet creates a uniform, horizontal airflow that flushes particles away from the work area, thereby preventing contamination during sensitive laboratory procedures.
Q: What applications is this laminar air flow cabinet best suited for?
A: This cabinet is ideal for laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing, research environments, and microbiology applications where a clean, particle-free work surface is essential. It is especially valuable in procedures involving sterile media, cultures, or sample preparation.
Q: When should the pre-filters and HEPA filters be serviced or replaced?
A: The synthetic pre-filter is washable and should be cleaned periodically depending on usage and environmental conditions. The HEPA filter typically requires replacement when the airflow velocity drops below specifications or as indicated by an optional differential pressure gauge.
Q: Where should the laminar air flow cabinet be installed for optimal performance?
A: For best results, place the cabinet in a clean, draft-free room, away from high-traffic areas and external doors or windows. This positioning minimizes the risk of turbulence and entry of contaminants into the cabinet workspace.
Q: What is the operating process for this cabinet?
A: Switch on the blowers and allow the airflow to stabilize for a few minutes before beginning work. Use the UV germicidal lamp to disinfect the workspace prior to operation, then switch to the fluorescent lamp for visibility, ensuring the interlock safety features are engaged.
Q: How does the UV light with interlock improve user safety?
A: The UV germicidal lamps interlock system ensures it can only operate when the cabinet is not in use, preventing accidental exposure that could harm skin or eyes. Safety switches further provide reliable protection throughout use.
Q: What are the main benefits of using this laminar air flow cabinet?
A: It provides a highly controlled, particle-free environment that improves experimental reliability and reduces contamination risks. Additional benefits include ergonomic design, low noise and vibration, safety interlocks, and straightforward maintenance, making it suitable for daily use in demanding laboratory settings.
