Precision and Safety in COD Analysis

This digester provides accurate temperature control (1C) and electronic timing, ensuring reliable results in COD analysis. Safety features like an over-temperature cut-off and exhaust port protect users during prolonged laboratory work. Its durable build and insulated lid maintain consistent performance for routine operations.

User-Friendly Operations

The clear LED display and programmable digital controls make setting time and temperature straightforward, supporting up to 12 samples simultaneously. The removable aluminum block and accessible vial slots streamline sample placement and collection, while the powder-coated steel ensures robustness for daily laboratory usage.

FAQs of COD Digester:

Q: How do I operate the programmable timer and digital temperature controller on the COD Digester?

A: To use the programmable timer, simply set the desired duration (up to 120 minutes) via the digital interface. Adjust the temperature using the LED display to reach the required setpoint (ambient to 180C). Once set, the device maintains both for consistent sample digestion.

Q: What materials and safety features make this COD Digester suitable for laboratory use?

A: The digester is constructed from powder-coated mild steel and uses an insulated, removable lid with an aluminum tube holder for durability and efficient heat transfer. Safety is enhanced through a thermostatically controlled, corrosion-resistant heating element, an over-temperature cut-off, and an exhaust port for fume management.

Q: When should the over-temperature cut-off and exhaust port features be used?

A: These safety mechanisms engage automatically during operation if excessive temperatures or fume build-up are detected. Routine usage activates them during the digestion cycle, providing continuous protection without user intervention.

Q: Where can this COD Digester be installed for optimal performance?

A: Install the digester on a stable, heat-resistant laboratory bench near a ventilation system, as the exhaust port should be accessible for safe fume removal. Ensure proximity to a 220-240V power supply.

Q: What is the process for digesting samples with this device?

A: Insert up to 12 standard 38 mm COD vials into the aluminum block. Set the required temperature and time using the digital controls. The heating element maintains uniform temperatures during the digestion process. After completion, carefully remove the vials using heat protection.

Q: How does this digester benefit water and wastewater testing laboratories?

A: It enables efficient, simultaneous processing of multiple samples with reliable temperature accuracy, streamlines workflow with programmable features, and ensures operator safetymaking it ideal for high-throughput environmental analysis.
